There is no train and no regular shuttle at Fes-Saïss. The ONCF station is in town, 15 km away; bus 16 links the airport to the station for a few dirhams but runs irregularly and stops early. Fes to Chefchaouen transfer — the most requested route
The fes to chefchaouen transfer is, by far, the most booked trip out of Fes after the airport. 200 km, about 3h30, via Ouezzane and then the climb into the Rif. The blue city has no train; the CTM bus takes 4 hours and drops you at the bus station at the bottom of town, from where you still climb to the medina.

When the private car is worth it — and when the train is better
We say it plainly, before selling you a fes transfer: for Rabat, Casablanca or Tangier, the ONCF train from Fes station is excellent — frequent, comfortable, cheap. Travelling alone with a bag? Take it.
