For Marrakech or Agadir the grand taxi leaves when full, drops you at the bus station, and does not take boards.

Essaouira to Agadir and Taghazout — the surf road

After Marrakech, the next essaouira transfer people book is south along the coast. The N1 from Essaouira to Agadir is 175 km of argan groves, cliffs and empty beaches: Sidi Kaouki, Tafedna, Imsouane, Tamri, then the surf villages of Taghazout and Tamraght just before Agadir. About 3 hours to Agadir for 110€ per vehicle; 2h30 to Taghazout for 99€; 1h45 to Imsouane for 89€.

The CTM coach covers Essaouira → Agadir in about 3h30, but it does not stop in Imsouane or Taghazout — you get off on the highway at the junction, or ride on to Agadir and take a grand taxi back up the coast. With two boards and a bag that is an afternoon gone.

Two practical notes. The stretch between Tamri and Taghazout has road works most years; the driver allows fifteen minutes for it. And Agadir Airport is south of the city, 20 km past Taghazout: an essaouira transfer to the airport is 110€, timed on your flight, so a morning surf in Taghazout before an evening flight is a normal plan, not a gamble.

Essaouira to Marrakech transfer — the most requested route

The essaouira to marrakech transfer is, by far, the most booked trip out of Essaouira. 175 km on the N8, about 2h30, through the argan groves and then the plain, for 99€ per vehicle — 25€ each for four. The Supratours coach does the same trip in 3 hours for about ten euros per person, and it is decent: travelling alone with a bag, take it.

But it leaves from Essaouira bus station and arrives at Marrakech station, twenty minutes by taxi from the medina — two more changes than the private essaouira to marrakech transfer, which collects you at your riad and drops you at the next one, driver on foot to the doorstep in the Marrakech medina.

The airport variant is the same 99€, with the departure time calculated from your flight — useful for evening flights, which the coach does not let you catch calmly. When the private car is worth it — and when the coach is better
